Thank you so much for visiting our page! We are a family-owned, home-based cake boutique in Des Moines, Iowa. Our mission is simple: to craft delicious, beautiful creations that become the centerpiece of your most special moments.

I’m May, the cake designer and owner of Parinda Cupcakes. Originally from Thailand, I moved to the U.S. in 1995. Before starting my cake business, I spent 12 years as a graphic and web designer, which fueled my love for creativity and design. That passion naturally carried over into cake decorating, where I treat each cake as a canvas—specializing in botanical designs, intricate buttercream flowers, and hand-painted details. What began as a simple cupcake bouquet for a friend turned into my dream business, and I’m so grateful for the incredible support from this amazing community.
